SUMMARY COMMENTS

  • In the December quarter 2009, the seasonally adjusted estimate of the value of total building work done rose in states and territories other than the Northern Territory (-8.7%). The largest rises were in the Australian Capital Territory (8.8%) and South Australia (8.1%).
  • The original estimate of total building work done rose in states and territories except the Northern Territory (-7.8%). The largest rises were in South Australia (7.9%) and the Australian Capital Territory (7.5%).
