In current prices, the trend estimate for Australian turnover was relatively unchanged (0.0%) in November 2012 following a rise of 0.1% in October 2012 and a rise of 0.1% in September 2012. The seasonally adjusted estimate for Australian turnover fell 0.1% in November 2012 following a relatively unchanged October 2012 (0.0%) and a rise of 0.4% in September 2012. The original estimate for Australian turnover rose 4.0% in November 2012. The original estimate for chains and other larger retailers rose 5.8% in November 2012. The original estimate for smaller retailers rose 0.7% in November 2012. RETAIL TURNOVER, Australia TOTAL RETAIL - BY STATE The following states and territories rose in trend terms in November 2012: Western Australia (0.6%) and Queensland (0.1%). New South Wales (0.0%) and the Australian Capital Territory (0.0%) were relatively unchanged. Victoria (-0.1%), South Australia (-0.2%), Tasmania (-0.7%) and the Northern Territory (-0.1%) fell in trend terms in November 2012. The following states and territories fell in seasonally adjusted terms in November 2012: New South Wales (-0.2%), South Australia (-0.6%), Western Australia (-0.3%) and the Northern Territory (-0.9%). Queensland was relatively unchanged (0.0%). Victoria (0.3%), the Australian Capital Territory (1.0%) and Tasmania (0.1%) rose in seasonally adjusted terms in November 2012.
