The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 0.5% in August and has fallen for six consecutive months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria rose 2.5% in August and has risen for the last seven months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 2.0% in August and has risen for the last six months. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland rose 0.5% and has generally been rising for the last 21 months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.3% in August and is now showing rises for 21 months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia rose 0.3% in August and has risen for the last four months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 1.4% in August and has risen for the last 14 months. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total dwelling units approved in Western Australia fell 2.0% in August and is now showing a general decline for the last 12 months.
