Data on loans to first home buyers are published Table 9 in Housing Finance, Australia (catalogue .no 5609.0), and this data had been modelled since the December 2014 issue to correct for under-reporting. This Information Paper explains the discontinuation of using the model detailed in Information Paper: Changes to the method of estimating loan commitments to first home buyers, 2015 (catalogue no. 5609.0.55.003), as a result of improved reporting by lenders. It also details the effect of commencing the use of enumerated data from the August 2016 issue.
