Explanatory Notes Abbreviations Appendix Quality Declaration	APPENDIX - DESCRIPTION OF COMMODITY GROUPS This appendix provides a description of the specific agricultural commodities that are included in each commodity group, as collected on the ABS Rural Environment and Agricultural Commodity Survey 2016–17 (note that the specific data items collected on the Agricultural Census/surveys vary slightly from year to year). PASTURES AND CEREAL CROPS CUT FOR HAY This commodity group includes: Lucerne cut for hay Other pastures cut for hay Cereals cut for hay Other crops cut for hay CEREALS FOR GRAIN AND SEED This commodity group includes: Wheat for grain Oats for grain Barley for grain Sorghum for grain Maize for grain Triticale for grain All other cereals for grain or seed Important note: rice is not included in this commodity group.
