ENERGY ASSET ACCOUNT
Physical stocks increased between 2015-16 to 2016-17 for black coal up 4.2% (78 300 PJ) and natural gas up 2.3% (2 714 PJ) while crude oil decreased by 2.1% (100 PJ).
Between 2015-16 and 2016-17 the value of natural gas stocks increased by $18.6 billion (11.3%) while the value of condensate decreased by $6.2 billion (22.8%), crude oil decreased by $6.1 billion (22.5%), black coal decreased by $5.4 billion (91.6%) and LPG decreased by $1.4 billion (26.8%).
