The proportion of the population with multiple qualifications is increasing as a consequence of government priorities to raise the skill level of the population, and an increasing tendency for people to acquire new qualifications to further their careers or to seek new life choices. Perspectives on Education and Training : Pathways in vocational and higher education presents a snapshot of the level at which qualifications are first obtained, followed by an exploration of the subsequent education pathways people undertake in obtaining multiple qualifications.
