Purpose of Data
Used for monitoring performance of fund managers.
Detailed Description
Population
41 fund managers are included in the survey. The managers included are those involved in the wholesale segment of the superannuation industry.
Superannuation Data Items
The data are investment returns (net of tax and fees) achieved by each manager included in the table over four periods being 3 months, 1 year, 3 year and 5 year.
Source
Source data (in terms of unit prices) are collected directly from fund managers.
Method of Collection
Unit prices are sent to William M Mercer at the end of each month by fund managers included in the survey. The survey covers all significant fund managers in the industry.
Frequency
Monthly.
Timeliness
Results are available approximately 10 days after the end of the survey month.
Historical Data
Data are available from January 1971.

Australia only.
