BEER
In 2013-14 there were 75.9 million litres of pure alcohol available for consumption in Australia in the form of beer, an increase of 1.0% from 2012-13 (75.1 million litres).
Full strength beer made up 81.7% of all alcohol in beer available for consumption in 2013-14, followed by mid strength beer (15.1%) and low strength beer (3.2%). In 2008-09, full strength beer accounted for 82.6% of all beer, followed by mid strength beer (12.2%) and low strength beer (5.2%).

The volume of beer available for consumption increased 1.0% between 2012-13 and 2013-14, from 1,730.1 million litres to 1,747.0 million litres. The volume of mid strength beer increased 6.8% while full strength beer increased 0.4%. Low strength beer recorded a decrease (down 9.0%).
