The Dictionary of Standards is a reference document which defines standards and outlines methods for the use of data elements in statistical, administrative and service provision settings in the education and training sector. They provide a range of information that is pertinent to the measurement of education and training in Australia.

Measuring Learning in Australia: Dictionary of Standards for Education and Training Statistics, has been developed by the National Centre for Education and Training Statistics. It is a joint initiative of the Department of Education, Science and Training, the Australian National Training Authority, all state and territory education and training departments, and the ABS
