NEW SOUTH WALES, VICTORIA

The trend estimate of the total value of building work done in New South Wales fell 1.9% in the March quarter and has fallen for three quarters. The trend estimate of the total value of building work done in Victoria rose 1.3% and has risen for eight quarters.


QUEENSLAND, WESTERN AUSTRALIA

The trend estimate of the total value of building work done in Queensland rose 0.8% after being flat in December 2007. The trend estimate of the total value of building work done in Western Australia was flat following 17 consecutive quarters of growth.


SOUTH AUSTRALIA, TASMANIA

The trend estimate of the total value of building work done in South Australia fell 0.3% following three quarters of growth. The trend estimate of the total value of building work done in Tasmania fell 0.5% and has now fallen for two quarters.


NORTHERN TERRITORY, AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY

The trend estimate of the total value of building work done in the Northern Territory rose 2.4% and has risen for four quarters. The trend estimate of the total value of building work done in the Australian Capital Territory fell 3.3% and is now showing five quarters of decline.
