2013-14 KEY POINTS
  • Between 2012-13 and 2013-14 total income increased by 3.3% (or $99.1b) to $3,067b.
  • Total expenses increased by 3.0% ($79.4b) to $2,734b.
  • Industry value added (IVA) increased by 3.6% ($36.0b) to $1,037b.
  • Operating profit before tax (OPBT) increased by 5.7% ($17.8b) to $333b.
  • Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased by 1.9% ($7.3b) to $395b.
  • Employment increased by 0.8% (or 89,000 people) between June 2013 and June 2014, to be 10.7 million people at June 2014.
