ABOUT THIS PUBLICATION
This publication presents estimates of the economic and financial performance of the Australian Mining industry in 2012-13. These estimates are compiled from the Economic Activity Survey (EAS) conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and from Business Activity Statement (BAS) data reported to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
CHANGES IN THIS ISSUE
The Industry Value Added table in the 'Mining operations' data cube has been updated to include a breakdown of Capital work done for own use into the components: Capitalised wages and salaries, and Capitalised purchases.
In addition, the Industry Performance by Industry table has been updated to include Capital work done for own use. The components of Capital work done for own use: Capitalised wages and salaries and Capitalised purchases are now available from the Industry Value Added table.
Changes to these two tables have been implemented for both years included within this issue.
