BUSINESS CHARACTERISTICS

There were 178 businesses involved in electricity supply in Australia in 2007-08.

Of these businesses:

  • 91% were engaged in the supply of electricity (but not gas)
  • 9% supplied both electricity and gas.

The primary activity of these businesses is shown in Figure 2.2.
