Potatoes are the principal vegetable crop grown in NSW. Most potatoes are grown in the coastal areas, in particular in the Murrumbidgee and Murray Statistical Divisions.

Production in 2003-04 was 119,100 tonnes.

In 2003-04, 38% of all potatoes produced in NSW came from the Murray Statistical Division (44,900 tonnes). This was followed by the Murrumbidgee Statistical Division with 34,600 tonnes.
