The agriculture industry in Victoria is quite diverse, ranging from small establishments engaged in dairying or horticulture to large properties mainly devoted to sheep, cattle or cereal production.
- The main broadacre crops grown are wheat for grain and barley for grain.
- The main livestock raised are cattle for beef and dairy production and sheep for meat and fine wool.
- The grape industry provides the largest tonnage of fruit crop produced; the apple and pear industries are also significant as are the citrus and stone fruit industries.
- The main vegetable crops grown include potatoes, tomatoes and carrots.
