wetlands were reported by 14% of all agricultural businesses, with half of these businesses reporting that they protected the wetlands on their properties.
around 52% of all agricultural businesses reported rivers or creeks on their holdings, with over half (52%) of these protecting their river or creek banks.
the highest proportion of agricultural businesses protecting native vegetation on their holdings was reported for Western Australia (69%) while the lowest proportion was recorded for the Northern Territory (49%).
Western Australia recorded the highest proportion of agricultural businesses protecting wetland areas on their holdings (61%) while the lowest proportion was recorded for New South Wales (44%).
the highest proportion of agricultural businesses protecting river or creek banks on their holdings was reported for Victoria (61%) while the lowest proportion was recorded for New South Wales (45%).
