ABOUT THIS RELEASE
Part of a series of physical environmental accounts that are being developed and is focused on the physical characteristics of Australia's water resources. Where available, quantitative data are compiled on a national and state level. Detailed statistics on the volume of surface and ground water assets (stocks), the supply and use of water by various industries and sectors, water re-use and discharge data are presented. Monetary data linked to the use of water resources are supplied. A compilation of water supply and use sustainability indicators are also presented.
