Victorian engineering construction work at highest levels ever The total value of Victorian engineering construction work done during June quarter 2004 was the highest on record ($1,365.3 million), according to figures released today by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). Of this figure, the largest increases were recorded in telecommunication construction (up 33% from the previous quarter), bridges, railway and harbour construction (up 10%) and road, highway and subdivision construction (up 10%).
