LONG-TERM UNEMPLOYMENT RATIO TREND ESTIMATES FEMALES The trend estimate of the long-term unemployment rate for females generally fell from 17.6% in October 2002 to 12.9% in March 2009, before generally rising to 19.1% in July 2011. The trend has since generally fallen to 17.0% in October 2012. PERSONS The trend estimate of the long-term unemployment rate for persons generally fell from 21.7% in October 2002 to 13.0% in February 2009 before generally rising to 19.6% in May 2011. The trend has since generally fallen to 18.7% in October 2012.
