As new data became available three ABS.Stat datasets attached to this publication were updated.

The ABS.Stat dataset'Net overseas migration, Arrivals, departures and net, State/territory, age and sex - Calendar years' has been updated with final data up to September 2013 and preliminary data for the 2014 calendar year.

The ABS.Stat dataset'Interstate migration, Arrivals, departures and net, State/territory, age and sex - Calendar years' has been updated with preliminary data for the 2014 calendar year.

The ABS.Stat dataset 'Net overseas migration, Arrivals, departures and net, State/territory, Major groupings and visas - Financial years' have been updated with final data for the 2012-13 financial year.

A new annual series of regional internal migration estimates for 2006-07 to 2013-14 has been added. These estimates are provided for Statistical Areas Level 2 (SA2s) and Local Government Areas (LGAs) based on the 2011 Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS). Age and sex breakdowns of the series are also provided for broader regions.

Explanatory Notes and Glossary pages have also been updated.

Data included in the age group "65 years and over" are preliminary net overseas migration (NOM) data as previously published. Data included in the age group "65 to 69" are current NOM data as at 30 June 2014 for the age group "65 years and over". The incorrect labelling and previous data will be changed with the next ABS.Stat update on the 31st January 2015.
