DWELLING UNITS APPROVED STATE TRENDS The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales fell 3.5% in January and has fallen for eight months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.6% in January after falling for seven months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria rose 1.3% in January and has risen for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 1.0% in January and has risen for seven months. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland rose 0.1% in January following a fall of 0.4% in the previous month. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.1% in January following a fall of 0.1% in the previous month. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia rose 0.3% in January and has risen for eight months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.7% in January and has risen for seven months. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Western Australia fell 1.8% in January and has fallen for 16 months.
