MEAT PRODUCTION

Meat production quarterly trend movements for June 2014:

Beef:
Beef production increased by less than 1% to 616,000 tonnes.

Veal:
Veal production decreased by less than 1% to 10,400 tonnes.

Mutton:
Mutton production increased by 1% to 58,500 tonnes.

Lamb:
Lamb production decreased by less than 1% to 118,000 tonnes.

Pig meat:
Pig meat production remained steady at 89,700 tonnes.

Total red meat:
Total red meat production remained steady at 892,000 tonnes.

Chicken meat:
Chicken meat production remained steady at 271,000 tonnes.
