This is likely to be because of the overlap of the Easter holiday period with the April survey reference period, meaning respondents whose usual hours worked were greater than 35 hours per week actually worked less than this amount during the reference period. The timing of Easter is adjusted for as part of the estimation of seasonally adjusted aggregate monthly hours worked, which showed an increase of 1.1% during April 2015.
