Potatoes are the principal vegetable crop grown in NSW. Most potatoes are grown in the coastal areas, in particular in the Murrumbidgee and Murray Statistical Divisions.

Production in 2002-03 was 134,100 tonnes.

In 2002-03, just over one third of all potatoes produced in NSW came from the Murrumbidgee Statistical Division (46,100 tonnes). This was followed by the Murray Statistical Division with 34,000 tonnes.
