SUMMARY COMMENTS

  • In the September quarter 2010, the seasonally adjusted estimate of the value of total building work done rose in Western Australia (2.9%) and the Northern Territory (0.6%) and fell in the other states and territories. The largest falls were in Queensland (-6.6%) and the Australian Capital Territory (-4.3%).
  • The original estimate of total building work done rose in four of the eight states and territories. The largest rises were in Western Australia (4.6%) and the Northern Territory (4.1%) while the largest falls were recorded in New South Wales (-3.7%) and South Australia (-0.7%).
