In the September quarter 2008, the trend estimate for the number of sheep slaughtered increased by 2% to 3.1 million. The trend estimate for the number of lambs slaughtered decreased by 2% for the September quarter 2008 to 4.8 million.


PIGS

The trend estimate for the number of pigs slaughtered in the September quarter 2008 fell by 5% to below 1.2 million.
