DWELLING UNITS APPROVED STATE TRENDS The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales rose 1.0% in February 2011 and has risen for six months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 1.9% and has risen for five months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria fell 2.9% in February and is now showing falls five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses is flat in February after falling for 13 months. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland fell 2.6% in February and is now showing falls for three months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 3.9% in February 2011 and has fallen for 13 months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia fell 2.1% in February and is now showing falls for 11 months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 3.4% and has fallen for 12 months. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Western Australia fell 1.8% in February and is now showing falls for three months.
