This paper represents findings from a collaborative analytical project between the ABS and the Productivity Commission.
Examines the diversity of farm water use practices and management in Australia for the period 2000/01 to 2003/04, providing a detailed statistical description of farms which use and trade irrigation water, through the use of maps, tables and graphs. It also provides estimates of the contribution of selected irrigated activities to the gross value of Australia's agricultural production.
