CHANGES IN THIS ISSUE
EXPORT AND IMPORT INVOICE CURRENCIES FEATURE ARTICLE
A feature article Export and Import Invoice Currencies is published in this issue of International Trade in Goods and Services, Australia (cat. no. 5368.0). This article explores the movements of the major currencies used to invoice merchandise trade, and highlights which goods are causing these movements using the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC Rev. 4).
EXCHANGE RATE LABELS
All currency names in Table 16 Period Average Exchange Rates, Units of Foreign Currency per Australian Dollar has been changed to lower case and in addition the following labels have also been updated:
- United Kingdom Pound has changed to United Kingdom pound sterling
- Euro has changed to European euro.
COUNTRY BREAKDOWN CHARTS
Country breakdown charts have been included in this issue of the publication. These charts shows Australia's major trading partners for the financial year 2015-16. The first chart shows the countries with the largest combined trade in both exports and imports of goods and services, whilst the second shows total exports and total imports for each country.
