The AHECC is used in the preparation of export documentation and in the compilation of Australian export statistics. The classification is arranged with an introduction and explanatory notes in the Summary Tab; and a number of data cubes on the Details Tab, eg abbreviations and AHECC summary; key of changes; 21 sections which detail the statistical items; and a complete AHECC file that can be uploaded to user's systems. The AHECC is a dynamic classification with any necessary changes being implemented on 1 January and 1 July of each year. Updates will be issued as required.
