STATES TREND ESTIMATES VICTORIA The trend estimate of employed persons in Victoria generally rose from 2,120,000 in October 1997 to 2,356,100 in February 2003. After falling to 2,349,800 in May 2003, the trend has generally risen to stand at 2,609,000 in October 2007. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate of employed persons in Queensland generally rose from 1,574,700 in October 1997 to 1,683,800 in August 2000. After falling to 1,675,400 in January 2001, the trend has steadily risen to stand at 2,145,100 in October 2007. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate of employed persons in South Australia dropped from 657,400 in October 1997 to 639,800 in May 1998, before generally rising to 758,800 in November 2006. After falling to 753,400 in March 2007, the trend has since risen to stand at 767,500 in October 2007. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate of employed persons in Western Australia generally rose from 868,600 in October 1997 to 896,500 in September 1998. After a small decrease to 889,600 in March 1999, the trend has since increased to stand at 1,122,700 in October 2007. TASMANIA The trend estimate of employed persons in Tasmania generally rose from 192,900 in October 1997 to 201,800 in December 2000, before falling to 197,400 in March 2002.
