DWELLING UNITS APPROVED STATE TRENDS The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales rose 0.4% in August after falling for seven months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 1.8% in August and has risen for four months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria rose 0.6% in August after being flat in the previous month. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 0.5% in August and has fallen for five months. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland rose 2.7% in August and has risen for four months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.8% in August and has risen for 19 months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia rose 0.9% in August after falling for seven months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 2.9% in August and has fallen for six months. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Western Australia rose 0.5% in August and has risen for three months.
