This year the Survey of Education and Work data cube suite includes a new data cube:

  • Fully engaged through formal study and/or employment, persons not in school study aged 15–24 years

The data cube 'Fully engaged through formal study and/or employment, persons 15–64 years' contains an expanded age range from what was published in the 2012 data cube.

All data cubes contain an additional demographic variable – Remoteness areas. Data from 2010 to 2013 are published by Remoteness area.

In addition, minor changes to wording occur in the data cubes on participation and engagement. The term 'formal study' replaces the previous term 'study for a qualification'. This revision is intended to more accurately illustrate what the category constitutes and does not represent a change in data.
