DWELLING UNITS APPROVED STATE TRENDS The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales fell 0.6% in April and has fallen for four months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.3% in April and has risen for 25 months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria rose 0.6% in April and has risen for 11 months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.4% in April and has risen for 10 months. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland fell 8.0% in April and has fallen for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.4% in April and has risen for 15 months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia fell 0.8% in April and has fallen for three months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.7% in April and has risen for 15 months. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Western Australia rose 0.2% in April after being flat in the previous month.
