Satisfaction with Victorian Water Quality Increases Over Last Ten Years The majority of Victorians were happy with the quality of their water supply in March 2004, according to a report released today by the Australian Bureau of Statistics. The report shows that of Regional Victorians with mains/town water 63% were satisfied with its quality, an increase of 12% since 1994, while people in the Melbourne Statistical Division showed a satisfaction level of 82%, an increase of 6%. Only the Outer Western Melbourne statistical region (which includes the Local Government Areas of Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Melton and Wyndham) and the Goulburn/Ovens-Murray statistical region in regional Victoria showed a drop in satisfaction by 4% and 1% respectively.
