This release presents summary statistics on Research and Experimental Development (R&D) undertaken by Australian businesses during 2013-14.
Users should refer to the Explanatory Notes tab for further contextual information when interpreting these results.
STRUCTURE OF THIS RELEASE
There are two components to this release; web based information and data cubes. The data cubes found under the Downloads tab contain detailed data that underpins the tables, graphs and commentary included in the web based information.
DATA QUALITY
When interpreting the results in this release, it is important to take into account factors that may affect the reliability of estimates and comparability over time. These factors are described in the Technical Note under the Explanatory Notes tab.
CHANGES IN THIS ISSUE
This issue includes information for Gross Expenditure on Research and Experimental Development (GERD).
The Business R&D collection has been conducted on a biennial basis since 2011-12. No data were collected on Business R&D for 2012-13 and therefore no data are available for the 2012-13 period.
