Cultural Trends in Australia: A Statistical Overview

Provides a wide range of cultural information on both a topic basis ( e.g. attendance at venues, employment) and a sector basis (e.g. museums, visual arts). This product has been produced jointly by the ABS and the Commonwealth Department of Communications and the Arts. Most of the information was collected by the ABS, but data from surveys conducted by other organisations have also been used to provide a more complete picture of the cultural industries.

Data items include:
• time spent on cultural activity
• expenditure on culture
• imports and exports of cultural goods and services
