DWELLING UNITS APPROVED STATE TRENDS The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales fell 3.4% in May and is now showing falls for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 0.3% in May and has now fallen for two months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria fell 1.9% in May and is now showing falls for eight months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 0.3% in May and has now fallen for 17 months. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland fell 0.5% in May and has now fallen for six months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 0.5% in May and has fallen for 16 months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia rose 2.1% in May and is now showing rises for four months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 1.2% in May and has now risen for three months. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Western Australia fell 1.9% in May and has now fallen for six months.
