DWELLING UNITS APPROVED STATE TRENDS The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales rose 1.4% in August and has risen for 12 months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.4% in August and has risen for nine months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria fell 4.2% in August and has fallen for six months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses was flat in August after falling for five months. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland fell 0.2% in August and has fallen for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 2.0% in August and has risen for five months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia rose 4.5% in August and has risen for three months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.2% in August following a fall of 0.1% in the previous month. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Western Australia fell 1.8% in August and has fallen for 11 months.
