The Year Book is considered the ABS's flagship publication and contains a comprehensive and detailed statistical review of various aspects of the economy and social conditions in Australia.

The 2005 Year Book Australia, will be officially released on Friday 21 January at 11.30am at a special event in Canberra (media will be advised of the details closer to the time).
The Year Book contains a unique snapshot of the latest information about our national way of life. The content of the book constitutes a valuable resource for media wishing to develop special Australia Day coverage.
We expect copies of the Year Book will be delivered to you early next week. A list of possible story leads based on the information in the 2005 Year Book will also be included.
