2008 YEAR BOOK AUSTRALIA
The Year Book Australia is the principal reference work produced by the ABS. It provides a comprehensive and detailed statistical overview of various aspects of the economy and social conditions in Australia. All 90 volumes of the Year Book Australia, going back to the first edition published in 1908, are now available free of charge from the ABS website.
Launched on 7 February, the 2008 Year Book Australia (cat. no. 1301.0) has a chapter on Population with summary information on Country of birth and International migration. The Culture and recreation chapter includes a statistical overview of Cultural diversity covering language, religion, citizenship and ancestry.
