Replacement pages added. Changes include:

    • replacement of summary tables 1 and 4
    • replacement of primary tables 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 20-30 and 32
    • revision of commentary for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children to reflect changes to these tables.

This replacement content contains revised data. The correction impacts tables which report Indigenous Status for centre based day care services and affects data for all states and territories and Australian totals. Total children counts are not affected. Users who have stored previous versions of the publication or data cubes are advised to delete existing copies and replace with the new content.

  • revision of key findings to reflect changes to these tables, and
  • removal of additional content, appendices and additional datacube, for re-release in the first half of 2020.

This replacement content corrects a processing overcount identified in the original release. The correction impacts all tables and affects data for Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory and Australian totals (please note there may also be some slight variation from previously published data for other jurisdictions due to perturbation). Users who have stored previous versions of the publication or data cubes are advised to delete existing copies and replace with the new content.

This replacement content corrects a minor error. The correction has a small impact on ACT and Australian totals of the number of children enrolled in and attending a preschool program.
