MEDIA RELEASE
Australian Statistician says pay arrangements will be surveyed The Australian Statistician, Dennis Trewin, said today the Australian Bureau of Statistics had decided to collect data on pay setting arrangements in the May 2006 Employee Earnings and Hours Survey. This had earlier been in doubt because of uncertainty on the state of play with the proposed new workplace relations system and when it would take effect. "Key users of these statistics have now been consulted and ABS will definitely collect data on pay arrangements on a similar basis to previous surveys," said Mr Trewin.
