WHAT'S NEW THIS MONTH

Topics which have been updated with new data in this month's issue of SA Stats include: Construction; Consumption; Demography; Housing Finance; Incomes; International Merchandise Trade; Investment; Labour Force; State Accounts and Water.

There have been some changes to the Retail Trade data presented in this publication. Previous issues of SA Stats included trend series estimates. However, the Retail Trade trend series has been suspended as at November 2008. Further information is available from Retail Trade, Australia (cat. no. 8501.0). SA Stats will include seasonally adjusted Retail Trade data until the trend series is reintroduced. The Retail Trade Quarterly Indicators publication (cat. no. 8502.0) has been ceased as at the December 2008 quarter. Retail trade data by industry categories that was previously reported on a quarterly trend basis will now be reported on a monthly seasonally adjusted basis.
