DWELLING UNITS APPROVED STATE TRENDS The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales fell 0.4% in December and has fallen for six months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 0.2% in December and has fallen for six months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria rose 1.6% in December and has risen for two months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.7% in December and has risen for six months. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland rose 1.1% in December and has risen for four months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.8% in December and has risen for nine months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia fell 0.4% in December after rising for six months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.5% in December and has risen for 11 months. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Western Australia fell 3.1% in December and has fallen for 15 months.
