The seasonally adjusted estimate for total dwelling units approved fell 0.6%, to 12,814, following a rise in the previous month. PRIVATE SECTOR HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector houses approved rose 2.1% in October and has risen for ten months. The seasonally adjusted estimate for private sector houses approved rose 5.0%, to 9,642 houses, and has risen for ten months. PRIVATE SECTOR OTHER DWELLINGS The trend estimate for private sector other dwellings approved rose 3.1% in October and has risen for four months. The seasonally adjusted estimate for private sector other dwellings approved fell 19.3%, to 2,512 dwellings, following a rise last month.
