REMINDER.....News Diary Event on Thursday
The Western Australian Economy - new ABS publication

On THURSDAY OCTOBER 19 the ABS will issue the first edition of a new quarterly publication called:

Western Australian Statistical Indicators .

The first edition will present the most recent statistics for Western Australia covering:
      population and vital statistics;
      the labour market;
      wages and prices;
      agriculture;
      building;
      mining and energy;
      retail turnover;
      finance;
      business expectations;
      overseas trade;
      tourism;
      transport.

Each issue also includes an analysis of recent movements in key State economic and labour market data as well as a feature article on such aspects as Western Australia's international trade (covered in this inaugural issue), small business, use of technology and changing labour market.

To assist your coverage of this significant state publication the Regional Director of the Australian Bureau of Statistics for Western Australia, Mr Colin Nagle, will hold a special media briefing on the release of the new publication. You are invited to attend.
