BEER


Light strength

Generally have an alcohol content of less than 3% alcohol by volume. Common drinks in the category include Carlton blue & light bitter, Cascade light bitter & premium, Coopers light, Fosters light & special bitter, Hahn premium light, XXXX light bitter.


Mid strength

Generally fall within the range 3 to 4% alcohol by volume . Examples of common drinks in the category are Carlton Gold & mid, Powers gold, Redback light, Tooheys amber, bitter & gold, XXXX gold.


Full strength

Generally more than 4% alcohol by volume, and includes beers such as VB, MB, XXXX lager, Carlton gold, Cascade draught, Coopers pale ale, Crown lager, Fosters lager, Hahn premium, Resches draught, Tooheys new, old and old.


Stout

Generally is over the 5.5% alcohol by volume and includes drinks such as Guinness and Guinness Export Stout, Carbine Stout, Swan Stout, Special Stout.


WINE/CHAMPAGNE


Red wine

e.g. Red, Claret, Merlot, Malbec, Burgundy, Cabernet, Shiraz, Rose.


White wine

e.g. White, Riesling, Moselle, White Burgundy, Chardonnay, Hock, Chablis, Traminer.


Sparkling wine

e.g. Champagne, Spumante, Carbonated wine.


Wine coolers

e.g. Tropicana, West Coast, JB Reynolds, Wild Lime/Peach, Island Cooler.


FORTIFIED WINE

e.g. Sherry, Port, Muscat, Tokay, Cinzano, Brandivino, Madeira, Blackberry Nip.


SPIRITS

e.g. Brandy, Scotch, Rum, Vodka, Gin, Whisky, Tequilla, Pimms, Southern Comfort, Ouzo, Cocktails.


LIQUEURS

e.g. Tia Maria, Cherry Brandy, Khalua, Advocaat, Creme de Menthe, Baileys, Midori, Curacao Blue, Grand Marnier, Cointreau, Drambuie, Galliano, Sambucca.


OTHER DRINKS

e.g. Alcoholic Cider, While label cider, Alcoholic sodas and lemonades and any other beverage containing more than 0.5% alcohol by volume.
