In 2003-04, there was an annual average 210,100 people employed in Tasmania. Of these, 94,900 were female of whom 49.4% were employed full-time. There was an average of 115,300 employed males of whom 85.6% were employed full-time.
The annual average number of females working full-time increased from 44,300 in 2002-03 to 46,900 in 2003-04. The annual average number of males working full-time increased from 95,100 to 98,700, over the same period.
